HISTORY OF DEPARTMENT

          The computer science department was functioning since 4.09.92 with 24 students as full time course. Students have separate class rooms.   From the year 1992-98 college was affiliated to Madras University in non semester pattern.  After the year 1998 college was affiliated to Periyar University as non semester pattern.   In the year 1999 it has been changed as semester pattern.    The strength of the students was increased to 40 from 2005-2006.   In the year 2007, students admission was changed in shift wise.  The student's strength was shift-I as 40 & shift-II as 40.  From 2008-2009 CBCS patterns was started.   In the year 2010 & 2013, the student admission was increased by 10% for both the shift.  In the year 2012, M.Sc Computer Science was started and the strength is 30.
